There are several reasons to choose Fecral resistance wire:
1. High Operating Temperature

  • Fecral resistance wire can typically operate at higher temperatures compared to other types of resistance wires. For instance, some Fecral alloys can reach up to 1400°C, while common nichrome wires usually have a maximum continuous operating temperature of around 1200°C. This makes Fecral wire suitable for applications where high-temperature heat sources are required, such as in high-temperature industrial furnaces, heat treatment equipment, and some specialized laboratory equipment.

2. Excellent Oxidation Resistance
 

  • The aluminum in the Fecral alloy forms a dense and stable alumina (Al₂O₃) film on the wire's surface at high temperatures. This oxide film is highly effective in preventing further oxidation of the wire's interior by oxygen. In contrast, nichrome wires are more prone to oxidation at high temperatures, and as the oxide layer on their surface thickens over time, it can lead to a decrease in performance, including an increase in electrical resistance and a reduction in heating efficiency.

3. High Resistivity and Heating Efficiency
 

  • Fecral alloy has a relatively high resistivity. Under the same applied voltage and wire length conditions, it can generate more heat. The resistivity of Fecral wire can be adjusted according to specific needs through alloy composition control. This allows for more efficient conversion of electrical energy into heat energy, enabling better heating performance in applications such as electric heaters, drying equipment, and various heating elements in industrial and household appliances.
