N Type Thermocouple Alloys Wire Bunch Wire or Solid Wire Used For Chemical Industry
A typical thermocouple construction consists of a pair of dissimilar metals that are electrically joined together at the sensing point and connected to a voltage measuring instrument at the other end. When one junction is hotter than the other, a thermal “electromotive” force (in millivolts) is produced that is roughly proportional to the difference in temperature between the hot and cold junctions.
NiCrSi thermocouple wire type N
The Type N thermocouple is composed of a nickel-14% chromium-1 1/2% silicon (+) wire versus a nickel 4 1/2% silicon-1/10% magnesium (-) wire. It was developed to be used under the same conditions as a Type K. Type N should be used in oxidizing or inert atmospheres with a service temperature range between -200°C and 1260°C (-330°F to 2300°F). The addition of silicon and chromium makes this type of thermocouple more resistant to Green-Rot and less drifting when compared to a Type K. The negative element, or NN, of a Type N thermocouple can be described by any of the following names: Nisil, nickel-silicon.The positive element, or NP, of a Type N thermocouple can be described by any of the following names: Nicrosil, nickel-chromium-silicon.
N Type Thermocouple Alloys Wire Bunch Wire or Solid Wire Used For Chemical Industry
Characteristics:
The thermocouple wires have excellent performance and are extensively used in the temperature measurement and control in different fields, such as metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum industry, machinery-electric industry, energy industry, agriculture and military industry.
Thermocouples can be used to measure temperature in many different applications from food preparation to smelting through to heavy chemical and power generation plants. The sensing probe can take a number of forms from bare wires to fully metal sheathed versions which can be inserted into the medium to be measured. The thermocouple effect can even be harnessed to create a low power generator by connecting multiple junctions in series in a heated environment. The individual thermocouple types have particular characteristics which make them suitable for different applications with varying temperature ranges and accuracies available. The increasing importance of lowering emissions in cars and industry is driving greater accuracy and longevity demands in automotive and process industries. Type N thermocouples in particular can be used to provide reliable temperature readings over a wide temperature range to ensure efficiencies are maximised and noxious gases minimised.
Our products conform to the standards of IEC584 -1and IEC-2.
