Description
High Temperature Resistance 1.2mm Nickel Alloy Welding Wire and Inconel Welding Wire on 12.5kg Spool

High Temperature Resistance Nickel Alloy Welding Coil Wire — Inconel 625 and 718

Precision wound coil wire made from Inconel 625 (UNS N06625) and Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) nickel base alloys. Both grades keep useful strength at 650–980 °C, resist chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking, and weld cleanly on orbital, MIG and TIG equipment. The wire is supplied layer wound on spool or coil so automatic welding heads feed without tangling.

Composition and properties

  • Inconel 625: Ni 58% min, Cr 20-23%, Mo 8-10%, Nb+Ta 3.15-4.15%, Fe 5% max
  • Inconel 718: Ni 50-55%, Cr 17-21%, Nb+Ta 4.75-5.5%, Mo 2.8-3.3%, Ti 0.65-1.15%, Al 0.2-0.8%
  • Tensile strength: 830–1030 MPa (625), 1240–1380 MPa aged (718)
  • Yield strength (0.2% offset): 415–520 MPa (625), 1030–1100 MPa aged (718)
  • Elongation: 30% min (625), 12% min (718)
  • Service temperature: up to 980 °C continuous for 625, 650 °C for 718
  • Oxidation and chlorides: resistant to pitting, crevice attack and stress corrosion cracking in seawater and acidic chloride media

Wire specification

  • Diameter: 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.6 mm with tolerance ±0.02 mm
  • Form: precision layer wound spool or coil, 5 kg, 12.5 kg and 15 kg
  • Cast and helix controlled for orbital and robotic welding heads
  • Surface: bright, pickled and descaled, oil and oxide free
  • Standards: AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-3 and ERNiFeCr-2, ISO 18274, ASME SFA-5.14

Welding notes

Use argon shielding with 15–20 L/min flow, keep interpass temperature below 150 °C, and avoid excessive heat input to limit niobium segregation. For Inconel 718, post weld ageing at 720 °C for 8 h plus 620 °C for 8 h develops full strength. Weld procedure support and dummy coupons can be provided for qualification.

Quality and packing

Every lot is spectro tested and shipped with mill test certificate EN 10204 3.1, diameter and surface inspection record, and heat number traceability. Spools are vacuum sealed with desiccant and packed in plywood cases for export. ISO 9001 quality system, SGS inspection and third party testing available.
