Type N SS321 Metal Sheathed Cable Ionizing Radiation Resistance

Armored cables are made of conductors of different materials, installed in metal sleeves with insulating materials, and processed into a flexible and solid combination. Armored cable includes armored thermocouple, armored thermal resistance, armored heater and armored lead. It is mainly used for temperature measurement, signal transmission and special heating in chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery manufacturing, power generation and scientific test. Usually, the conductors (copper or thermocouple wires) are embedded in MgO and pressed into a metal tube made of oxidation and corrosion resistant material.

The entire combination is then rolled under pressure to achieve the desired diameter.

Magnesium oxide makes an excellent electrical insulation material because it resists oxidation and ionizing radiation, and it is both chemically and physically stable at high temperatures.

The outer sheath protects the internal conductor from heat, chemical or other environmental damage.
